Sports Lenses

 

Sports lenses protect the wearer’s eyes and should be worn when participating in racquetball, tennis, baseball, basketball and soccer. It is strongly recommended that sports lenses be made of polycarbonate material. Polycarbonate lenses are impact resistant and offer protection than plastic or glass.

 

A few things to look for when selecting your sports eyewear are:

1. Make sure the eye protector you select has been tested for sports use.
2. Check to see if it is made of polycarbonate material, the most impact resistant.
3. Make sure the device is padded around your brow and bridge of your nose, to prevent the eye guard from cutting your skin.
4. Make sure it is the right size.
5. For baseball and lacrosse, athletes should also wear a helmet to the office for sizing.
